DeVlieger Hilser, P.C., (“DVH”), is a litigation firm founded by Paul T. DeVlieger and John E. The initial foundation of DVH’s practice was based upon its dealings with a vast array of surety, fidelity, miscellaneous and commercial surety bond matters. As surety attorneys, DVH has been called upon by clients to represent them in handling matters involving each stage of the bonding process including underwriting disputes, bid disputes, bid bond claims, claims investigation, payment and/or performance bond claims, negotiating and drafting takeover agreements, completion contracts, ratification agreements, loan completion and security agreements, and affirmative claims involving obligees, indemnitors, design professionals, agents and accountants.
Incorporating the core principals upon which the practice was established, over the years DVH has been able to successfully expand its area of expertise to include multiple speciality insurance lines, including condominiums, home owner associations, premise liability, premise security, products liability, transportation liability/commercial auto, D&O and E&O, restaurant and builder’s risk.
